Nolwenn Leroy's new album will be released on December 7th, 2009. This album will be more personal than the previous one, and she has taken part in the writing and composing.

"These days I am in Paris putting the final touches on the record I have been producing for Mercury in France, the new and third record release by my friend Nolwenn Leroy. We have recorded 14 tracks in Sweden this past month and now we are mixing the tracks in a studio Paris, right next to the Arch of Triumph. The music is sounding special. It is mostly for harp, stand-up bass, drums and percussion, strings, organe and brass.
"Nolwenn has really stepped up to the challenge and she has put in a great performance with all the players as well as writing most of the lyrics in French. She sounds just like how she has matured, her personality just as elegant and warm hearted as she is in reality. It's been a lot of fun.
"Jonatha Brooke stopped by to record a couple of her songs that she wrote with Nolwenn. Nico Muhly did some of the string arrangements as well as Vic Emerson and gorgeous Ruth Wall from Goldfrapp played some wonderful harp. I arranged the collection of songs on the Faroe Islands this summer - five of the songs I have written myself over the last two years.
"The record has been long in the making and now it has finally come together - Nolwenn is ready to go back onto the stage in France with Mercury Universal on her side, four years since her latest studio album. I think it is so cool that she has made a work of passion that is really strong and personal.
"The first single is coming out this week. We are mixing it right now and the A/R man dropped by the studio yesterday to pick up the single for radio."

Nolwenn's third studio album was recorded in Sweden and the Faroe Islands, produced, arranged and directed by Teitur, with the contibution of Jonatha Brooke, Rupert Hine and Michelle Featherstone.
The first extract from the new album was sent for pressing this week.
It should thus be broadcast on the radio from next week.
"Then I whirled off to Sweden, via Brussels, via Copenhagen to play a little, sing a little on Ms. Nolwenn Leroy's INCREDIBLE new record.

"The most incredible quartet of string players came the first day. They played on one of the songs I wrote, and had us all waltzing around in tears. Lush, romantic.... oh my.
"The second day, we tried some clustery background vocals. Jury's still out on that idea!!
"During one break we realized that we had a red head a blond and a brunette, and that we actually were CHARLIE's aka TEITUR and JONAS'S ANGELS.

These last weeks, changes within record companies took place, and Mercury, the Nolwenn's label, merged with ULM.
Consequently, a big part of the team who worked with Nolwenn on her new album changed.
It is not necessarily something negative, but it is definitively the beginning of a new era with new co-workers.
Therefore, so that the media campaign for the album can be installed in the best possible configuration, its release is going to be postponed until autumn 2009.
Nolwenn would like you to know that everything is doing great for her, her album will be ready before summer, will be entrusted with Mercury so that they begin to work and to prepare the media campaign. A good media implementation is the most important thing once the making of the album is finished.
I know that you are all looking forward to the release of this album, but regrettably, some parameters do not depend on Nolwenn.

"Yesterday My princess pal, Nolwenn Leroy came to London to demo the two little songs we wrote in French a couple weeks back.
"We had a ball. Avril and Andy manned the studio - they have a great little production set up right near Parson's Green.
"I think we might be on to something. Nolwenn had a cold and insisted she didn't like how she sounded. The rest of us were swooning because that little bit of congestion made her sound even more poignant."

After several shows with the "Enfoirés" in Bercy (Paris) for the association "Les Restos du Cœur", Nolwenn headed back to the studios to continue recording her new album.
This third album will be pop-folk tendency, and now Nolwenn is not only writing her songs, but is also composing some of the melodies that will appear on it.
Those past weeks, Nolwenn kept recording her album. She went to Los Angeles, Copenhagen to work with her friend Teitur, and also flew to London.

Nolwenn is heading back to Los Angeles within the next days to start recording some songs.
Almost all the songs of the album have been written, she just has to choose the ones who will actually be on the album, and also adapt some in French.
She also started to work on the album's cover.
She will finish recording in January and February 2009.
Nolwenn will do everything she can to release her album in April 2009.
She would like to start her tour in September 2009, but also do some showcases during the summer all over France.
She is still working with Teitur, Jonatha Brooke, Michelle Featherstone and Rupert Hine.
